Bloomfield, Conn. (April 16, 2024)—For the second year in a row, volunteers with The KBE Foundation took part in the Habitat for Humanity Playhouse Build, providing a greater Hartford-area family with a new playhouse.

This year, nine employees from KBE Building Corporation (Farmington, CT) and Elite Construction Resources (Wallingford, CT) gathered at Habitat’s Re-Store in Bloomfield, CT to donate their time, effort, and creativity to the cause. Together, the KBE team built a playhouse from scratch according to the children’s wishes. The volunteers also painted and decorated the playhouse, fit for lots of future fun.

The Foundation also provided toys and other items to make the playhouse perfect!  The young girl who received the playhouse was thrilled and our volunteers had a great time coming together to help the community

About the KBE Foundation:

The KBE Foundation, founded in 2021, is a not-for-profit charitable organization dedicated to making a difference in our communities. Based in Farmington, CT, The Foundation supports not-for-profit organizations and events that improve the quality of life for children and adults, whether by enhancing educational opportunities, addressing food- or housing- insecurity, achieving social equity, or other community needs. The Foundation grew out of a 13+year-long philanthropic program called 50 Ways to Make A Difference that was created by KBE Building Corporation to celebrate its then 50-years in business.

Volunteers from KBE Building Corporation built a playhouse from scratch as part of Habitat for Humanity’s PlayHouse Build program.
