KBE was proud to be a part of Opening Day on Monday, June 26, 2023, at Hartford’s Camp Courant – which reigns as the oldest and largest free Summer Day Camp in the Nation. Supporters and volunteers were all present for the upbeat opening day ceremonies and helped to welcome 750 campers for this summer’s 129th year.
Vice President of KBE Building Corporation and chair of The KBE Foundation Robert Dunn was thrilled to present a $5,000 check on behalf of the KBE Foundation, which was used to help improve the camp facilities.
Camp Courant provides a summer camp experience to hundreds of Hartford kids who might otherwise not have the opportunity. It gives these children an equal opportunity to participate in recreational and educational experiences that balance fun with enrichment, instill confidence, promote healthy lifestyle choices, and inspire big dreams for the future.
